Behavioural Consultant
Applied neuro-behavioural science for
brands and businesses… and Dachshunds!
Behaviour is behaviour.
Désiré Mirelux is a behavioural strategist and entrepreneur with a background in decision science, consumer psychology and behavioural design. Alongside advising brands and founders, she also applies behavioural principles within specialist canine care for dachshunds and caretaker education through her consultations and podcast.
Whether we are looking at human decision-making or canine responses, behaviour is shaped by emotion, environment, reinforcement and experience.
Different contexts. Similar principles.
Why do people buy things they do not need, or procrastinate on the projects that matter most?
Why do some brands create loyal communities while others struggle to be remembered?
And why does your dog bark at the postman, steal your seat the second you stand up, or suddenly become reactive seemingly overnight?
At first glance, consumer psychology and canine behaviour might seem like completely different worlds.
But both are studies of behaviour.
Both explore how trust is built, how habits are formed, how emotions influence actions and how learning shapes future behaviour.
The species may be different, but the central question is often the same.
Why does this behaviour happen, and what is influencing it?
I am Désiré Mirelux, and I am obsessed with behaviour and psychology.
Across branding, marketing, entrepreneurship and neuroeconomics, I have spent more than fifteen years studying how people think, learn, decide, trust, communicate and respond to the world around them.
More recently, that curiosity has expanded into canine behaviour.
Working with my own dog led me to explore the science of canine learning, emotion and behaviour more deeply. That journey has now developed into formal education in canine behaviour and psychology, alongside practical work supporting dachshunds and their owners.
My work now sits across these two connected areas.
I help founders understand the behavioural patterns influencing their decisions, businesses, customers and communities.
And I help dachshund owners understand the emotions, learning and environmental influences shaping their dogs behaviour.
These are distinct disciplines, with different methods and applications.
But both begin with the same principle.
Behaviour makes more sense when you understand what is driving it.
This is not theory for theory’s sake.
It is practical insight that can help you make better decisions, build a stronger business, communicate more effectively and develop a better relationship with your dog.
Because when you understand behaviour, you stop guessing.
You begin to see the patterns behind decisions, reactions and outcomes.
And once you can see those patterns, you can make informed changes and work with behaviour rather than constantly fighting against it.
So, whether you are a founder trying to get unstuck or a dachshund owner trying to understand your dog, you are in the right place.
Choose where you would like to begin, and let us explore what is really driving the behaviour.
